Clay Classes at Poppy House
Our clay classes are designed for anybody who loves making things with their hands. Students learn how to shape, build, sculpt, decorate, and glaze their own ceramic pieces in a relaxed studio environment that gives them room to be creative while still learning real techniques. Each class is hands-on, process-based, and project-driven. Students may work on pinch pots, coil building, slab construction, small sculptures, functional pieces, seasonal projects, glazing, and other clay-based artwork. Every class gives students a chance to slow down, experiment, solve problems, and make something they are proud to bring home.
LITTLE CLAY CREATORS (TK-2ND)
MONDAYS 4:00-5:30 3 WEEK COURSE
Young artists will learn the basics of clay through hands-on projects, exploring hand-building, coiling, shaping, texture, and other fun clay techniques.
ADULT CLAY CLASS
WEDNESDAYS 11:00-1:OOPM 4 WEEK COURSE
In this relaxed, hands-on clay class, you’ll learn the foundations of wheel throwing, trimming, and hand building while creating your own unique ceramic pieces. Each class combines guided instruction and plenty of time to create, experiment, and explore on your own.
CLAY DATE - Hand-Build a Mug

Looking for a fun and creative date night? Get a little messy and make something together! Join us for a one-day clay workshop where you and your date will hand-build your own ceramic mug.
SCULPT & THROW (3RD-6TH)
TUESDAYS 4:00-5:30 4 WEEK COURSE
From throwing on the wheel to building by hand, students will experiment with different techniques, textures, and forms—and learn how to glaze and finish their creations.
